Despite the buildup and expectation beforehand, the match had a scrappy start with neither side dominating. Dogan enjoyed more of the possession in midfield, disrupting the rhythm of the away team. The hosts had the ball in the net on 16 minutes, but the effort was ruled out for a foul on goalkeeper Ahmet Adalier.
As the match ticked towards the half-hour mark, Yalova wingers Nevzat Soyadli and Corey Whitely switched flanks and the visitors began to get a foothold on the game. The visitors’ possession was rewarded on 38 minutes where Corey smashed the ball into the back of the net from the edge of the box. The Yellow Ones protected the lead until half-time and came out all guns blazing in the second period.
Ahmet Topal doubled the lead on 52, Zeki Ansal increased it to 3 on 61, Topal then scored his second on 70 before Ahmet Cihanyandi declared the result on 83 minutes. This victory keeps Yalova in third, three point behind second placed Altinova but with a game in hand.
Man-of-the-Match | Corey Whitely Scored one, made three and was a constant threat all afternoon. Thoroughly deserving of this accolade.
