Yalova FC representatives Mustafa Djemal and Gursel Raif met with Yalova SK chairman Mustafa Mertekci and the Board of Directors in Bostanci, northern Cyprus.
The historic meeting was held at the club building on Friday 15 January 2010, where Yalova FC vice-President Mustafa Djemal (pictured right) presented his Yalova SK counterparts with details of the UK based club. He covered off topics such as the committee, team performance, fund raising and future projects. Mustafa Mertekci thanked his guests before congratulating them on Yalova FC's achievements and once again declared the 'brotherhood' of the two clubs. The chairman also cited ways in which the clubs will be working closer together in future, opening opportunities for UK based players to become semi-professional in Cyprus, and moreover full professionals in Turkey following the recently signed treaty with Yalovaspor. He then informed those in attendance that Yalova will also be formed in Australia, making the club have four destinations around the world. The two Mustafa's then exchanged shirts to mark the occasion. Djemal presented Mertekci with the London Premier championship winning jersey from last season and accepted a current Yalova SK shirt (pictured). Mr Djemal and Mr Raif were invited to Yalova SK's home game against Mehmetcik as guests of honour.
