 YalovaFC.com is delighted to announce our club’s signing of Huseyin Djemal. The attacking midfielder will join the rest of his Yalova teammates from the beginning of February.
Huseyin first played for Yalova at the age of 9 taking his place in the youth team under the guidance of Ozkan Mertekci. The two cross paths again when, at just 16, the left footer was promoted to the senior team. Huseyin was primarily used as a substitute in his debut season but still went on to score 5 goals and impress club seniors. The club’s sabbatical at the end of the 2005-06 season meant Huseyin moved on, but at the age of 21 he returns to his home club. Speaking to the club’s official website Huseyin said, “I am ecstatic. I can’t wait to join up with my team-mates and play for Yalova again. Yalova is not just a football club, to me it’s my home and where I belong. I return to the club having matured as a player and will give everything I’ve got in our chase for promotion.” The man nicknamed ‘Magic’ previously attracted interest from Crystal Palace and Genclerbirligi of Turkey and was selected by Arsenal legend Ian Wright to play for him in a popular TV show (see picture below).
