The Yellow Ones took control from the first minute but had to wait until the 42nd minute for the breakthrough where Shane Johnston’s instinctive turn-and-shot rifled into the bottom corner.
In the second half, Yalova continued their dominance and thought they had doubled their lead when Ibrahim’s penalty found the net but the referee ordered a retake which ‘Ibo’ missed.
Fortunately, further goals from David Smiley and Nevzat Soyadli ensured the penalty miss was not costly come the final whistle and instead put the team into a commanding position in the group.
Yalova play Blind Beggars again next weekend and 3 points will ensure a safe passage into the quarter-finals with a match to spare.
