The away team made their intentions clear from the start, pressing every area of the pitch and giving their hosts no space in which to play. Their resistance was finally breached in the 29th minute however, after Huseyin Djemal was brought down by a rash challenge in the box and Corey Whitely converted the resulting penalty. As the game approached half-time Duru Safak headed home Huseyin’s corner to double Yalova’s lead and ensure a more comfortable second-half.
Erkan Hacet rattled the woodwork twice before Huseyin capped off a fine performance by sliding in Nevzat Soyadali’s cross on 66 minutes. Mustafa Baskal had a goal disallowed and Karadeniz cleared two further efforts off the line late on before forcing a great save from Ahmet Adalier in the final minute.
This victory mathematically ends Dogan Turk Birligi’s slim hopes of promotion, but ironically it’s DTB who will make the trip to Bullsmoor Lane on Sunday to attempt to spoil Yalova’s promotion party.

Yalova are now just one win away from first division football next season after overcoming a brave Karadeniz Genclik display.
